Danish government changes internationalisation strategy

VU International News and Reviews No. 15 September 30 2013

September 2013

In a new report Enhanced Insight through Global Outlook, the Danish Ministry of Education proposes a new approach to internationalisation of HE.

The report proposes new targets and new policy drivers. Among the new targets are: 50% of graduates having international experience by 2020; 15% annual increase in mobility towards emerging economies;  20% increase in joint/double degrees with Danish participation.

Among the policy drivers is a change towards funding credits that Danish students obtain abroad, instead of funding credits obtained by international students in Denmark.
