VU International News and Reviews No. 19 December 9 2013

December 2013

In the GRE Snapshot of the more than 530 000 students taking the GRE between July 2012 and June 2013, the Dutch – like last year – have higher scores in Verbal Reasoning and Analytical Writing than students from any other country where English isn´t the native language and higher scores than American students.

In Quantitative reasoning, the number of countries with higher scores than Dutch students (156,3) has risen to 16 (13 last year). Top scores are for Chinese (163,4), Hong Kong (160,5) Taiwanese (160,4) and Singapore students (160,1). But also students from Eritrea, Iran, Turkey, and Vietnam have high quantitative scores in the GRE.
