Memo Measuring Mobility tool

VU International News and Reviews No. 08 June 17 2013

June 2013

CHE Consult, a spin-off of the non-profit CHE Centre for Higher Education, has launched a psychometric tool for measuring the added value benefits of study abroad. The MEMO tool (Measuring Exchange Mobility Outcomes) allows to survey the students before and after their study abroad. It analyses behavioral and attitudinal characteristics, considered against the backdrop of socio-economic influences as well as satisfaction aspects. Memo builds on the results of a three-year research CHE Consult project on dimensions for academic success within Germany. The Memo tool was tested in 2012 with 30 HE institutions in 15 countries.
