VU International News and Reviews No. 07 June 3 2013

June 2013

The NYT report is well in line with a new IIE report “New Frontiers: U.S. Students Pursuing Degrees Abroad”, which has found a 5% increasing in Americans pursuing a full degree abroad from 2010/11 to 46.571 students in 2011/12. The Netherlands is 8th on the list of destination countries (with a 4% share), with France, Germany, and China as non-Anglophone countries in higher places. Humanities and Social Sciences are the most popular fields of study.
