The OECD has published a 142-page study on “Promising Practices in Supporting Success for Indigenous Students”. The study is based on analysis of the situation in four Canadian provinces, with experiences from New Zealand and Australia for comparison and a wider context. The study aims to identify promising practices, build an empirical evidence base, and assist the authorities involved to learn from each other. The study has found many promising experiences but warns that achieving change at a system level requires deliberate sustained effort.
