What does and doesn’t work for retention and against drop-out in US bachelor’s programmes

Drawing from a web-based survey among 263 responding American universities and Colleges, the HE consultancy firm Noel-Levitz has identified the strategies to increase retention – and decrease drop-out rates –that HE institutions in the US find most or rather least effective.

It distinguishes between strategies deployed by four-year public and private colleges and two-year colleges and highlights strategies that are not widely used, but are found highly effective by those institutions that do deploy them.
