Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development presents every day from the 1st of December until the 17th of December one of the SDGs in short videos.
Researchers from the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology describe why the goal is important and how it’s interlinked with other goals. On December the 18th there will be a bonus slot lasting until Christmas Eve.
“The SDG Calendar is a good way to highlight how research could contribute to achieve the Global goals and show how the goals are all connected. The universities have an important role and responsibility together with other stakeholders to find solutions for a sustainable world,” says Jan Pettersson, director of Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development.
Co-operation platform for sustainable development
Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development is mandated together by Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg as a co-operation platform for sustainable development and environmental research. It has a multidisciplinary approach towards sustainable development, and create meeting places both for researchers from various disciplines within the universities and also for academia, business, authorities and civil society.
“The University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology have been collaborating on environmental research since the 1990’s and are now broadening the co-operation to multidisciplinary research and utilization connected to sustainable development,” says director Jan Pettersson.
