Eylem Atakav is the Associate Dean International for the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of East Anglia who recently became the 2019 Chair-elect for NAFSA’s: Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLS) Knowledge Community.
The NAFSA: Association of International Educators is the world’s largest non-profit association dedicated to international education and exchange. The Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLS) Knowledge Community focuses on curriculum internationalisation, research that informs practice, and intercultural communication and serves faculty, administrators, graduate students/post-docs, researchers, intercultural trainers, cross-cultural counsellors, and other professionals in international education.
One of Eylem’s primary responsibilities is to help identify and connect possible candidates who will apply for the 2020 TLS Chair-elect. This leadership opportunity details what is expected and what one can expect from being a chair-elect.
